This eight-week series focuses on the fourth chapter of The Bhagavad Gita, titled “Renunciation of Action Through Knowledge”. The chapter continues the exploration of karma-yoga and knowledge as means to happiness and freedom by managing desire and knowing the self. Each session will begin with a few minutes of Vedic chanting, followed by reading and discussing a few verses of the chapter.
Phid Simons has studied Sanskrit, Vedanta, and Vedic chanting with traditional teachers in India and the U.S. for over 20 years. She has practiced yoga for over 35 years and teaches Sanskrit, chanting, and Vedanta in the Bay Area.
