Tuesdays, 11:15 am – 12:30 pm | Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) | $15
This class is based on the PWR!, an evidence based exercise program for people with Parkinson’s. It includes aerobic, strong, repetitive movements, agility, gait and balance training. It is designed specifically to push back against the symptoms of PD – postural issues, gait changes, voice changes, stiffness, slowness, fear and lack of confidence while moving.
Tuesdays, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Chair Yoga for People with P.D. | $15
The chair class offers yoga movements that target posture, rigidity, slowness of movement, strength, and flexibility for people with Parkinson’s disease. Class includes mindful breathing practices, and breath and body centered meditation to help counter the effects of stress, anxiety and mood changes often associated with PD.

Murthy Jarugumilli, C-IAYT is a IAYT (Niroga) certified yoga therapist and yoga instructor. He is a certified PWR! Moves Instructor and studied with Carol Fisher. He offers yoga instruction for people with PD through public and private classes. Murthy emphasizes conscious movement coupled with mindful breathing and meditation while providing tools to improve flexibility, mitigate the effects of rigidity and bradykinesia, improve balance and strength.
