Mexico Retreat with Gay White & Tesy Ades
March 17–24, 2018 | Xinalani Retreat Center | Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Join Gay and Tesy for an unparalleled retreat experience: authentic and magical, immersed in lush jungle surroundings with views of the emerald ocean. Sleep in beautiful eco-chic accommodations, enjoy delicious and healthy Mexican food, and practice yoga.
Classes will be held at the beautiful open air studios of the Xinalani complex, which offers a combination of nature, serenity and yoga. The setting-on the southern shore of Bahia de Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta, on a private beachfront accessible only by boat – is the perfect place for going deeper into the practice. There will be one long asana class in the morning and special work in the afternoon. Classes are held in a studio fanned by sea breezes and for a post-savasana swim, the ocean is but steps away.
During your free time you can take part in all the resort has to offer: Have a soothing massage or energy work, sweat it out at the Temazcal, take a Bandera Bay boat tour andwatch local sea life. Fly the zipline across the treetops, experience local life in the neighboring fishermen towns; go scuba or snorkeling with your sea kayak, and, of course, enjoy the magical Pacific sunsets.
Gay White teaches yoga at The Yoga Room in Berkeley, CA, where she is Director and Co-Director of the Advanced Studies Program. As well as Iyengar-style yoga, she teaches an innovative, flowing vinyasa style called Yoga Movement. Gay’s retreats offer a quiet space for going deeply into the healing and energizing aspects of yoga.
Tesy Ades teaches yoga at her own studio Peas an Love, and is part of the faculty at The Iyengar Yoga Center in Mexico City. She has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years.
