Yoga for Health

Bonnie and Shari provide a supportive environment for individuals who are living with a chronic health issue. The poses will be individualized to meet each student’s particular needs. This class is wheelchair accessible.

Bonnie Maeda, RN, teaches Restorative Yoga and co-teaches Yoga For Health at The Yoga Room as well as at several Bay Area hospitals and Women’s Centers. She is certified by the Arthritis Foundation and also as an “Advanced Relax and Renew” teacher from Judith Hanson Lasater’s program. Her approach is gentle yoga for health and healing as well as restorative yoga to promote relaxation and manage stress. She believes in the benefits of yoga for every age, body type, and ability.

Shari Ser PT, RYT 500, E-RYT 500, CIAYT, has over 30 years of physical therapy clinical practice and experience and expertise teaching yoga for a wide range of medical conditions. Shari combines her expertise as a physical therapist and a long time yoga practitioner to make her classes safe and accessible to all students who want to practice yoga. Shari is a certified trainer in Dr. Fishman’s Osteoporosis method.
