Yoga Room Book Group

The Yoga Room Book Group meets every other month to explore the history of yoga and our place in it.

Our next book is Original Yoga: Rediscovering Traditional Practices of Hatha Yoga by Richard Rosen.

“Part history, part philosophy, part yoga instructional manual, this book clears up some of the confusion and misconceptions about the development of yoga, both traditional and modern. Debbie Gilman, M.A., E-RYT 500, has been teaching at The Yoga Room since 2000, is on the faculty of the Advanced Studies Program there, and has studied with Donald Moyer and Mary Lou Weprin for over 20 years. A life-long teacher, she loves sharing the movement-based mindfulness practice of yoga with her students. Debbie is currently indulging her interest in the history of yoga by facilitating the Yoga Room Book Group.
