Anna Rich believes yoga is for everyone, and she loves helping her students discover the deep wisdom of their bodies.
Anna first came to yoga after experiencing pain from working long hours at the computer, and she was thrilled to discover that yoga not only helped relieve her physical discomfort, but also introduced her to a whole new way of relating to the world and to her body. She quickly found that yoga offered a much needed respite from our fast paced and often stressful culture– a way to unwind both the body and the mind.
Based on this insight, Anna’s classes now focus on developing body and breath awareness, building strength and flexibility, and finding stillness in the midst of our busy lives. She currently teaches Introduction to Yoga on Thursday nights at the Yoga Room, and she enjoys helping newcomers explore yoga and feel more comfort in their bodies.
Anna is a graduate of the Yoga Room’s Advanced Studies Program and a student of Mary Lou Weprin. Anna also has a special interest in restorative yoga and has trained with Judith Hanson Lasater to become a certified Relax & Renew® Trainer.
