Yoga for Brain Health

with Dalia Nazryan
Saturday,  June 29th | 2-5pm

Yogis have long known that there’s a powerful link between the mind and the body. Explore the neuroscience and physiology behind it, and how yoga, breathing and mindfulness practice can help regulate the nervous system, promote resilience, and build new pathways in the brain. The afternoon will include a short, experiential lecture followed by an integrative asana and breathing practice to support unwinding and integration.

Dalia Nazryan is a dedicated yogi, social worker, craniosacral therapist and bodyworker. She graduated from The Yoga Room’s Advanced Studies Program in 2016 and now works as a group facilitator for women in prison recovering from trauma and substance use. She believes in the transformative power of yoga and is committed to empowering change by bridging social science with neuroscience; wisdom teachings with the skills needed to build wellness from the ground-up. She has taught yoga to adults, children and families since 2008 and is passionate about making yoga accessible for everybody, liberating, and fun.
